Re : [Proposition] [CG] FMH Module (Follow Me Home)
« Réponse #2 le: 04 mai 2014 à 21:36:25 »
Hello to all! :)
I'm able to fabricate some electronic modules, which can improve the functionality of our cars.

The FMH (follow me home) module can be installed on low beam or for projectors. It has a light sensor which will be set to activate the fmh only in the night. With the help of an rheostat it can be adjusted the light sensor sensibility. The lights will gone ON when the doors are opened and when the doors are locked/unlocked. The time for the lights ON can be personalized: 20,...25,...30... seconds.
It has 6 wires to connect (2 from uch, signal for door open and for central lock) and the final install can be made at the fuse box.
Prices:
More than 5 units = 40 euro/unit;
More than 10 units = 35 euro/unit;
More than 15 units = 30 euro/unit.

The DRL (daytime running lights) module can be installed on high beam of the car, and that means you protect the low beam durring the daylight. Also keep the dash lights and back lights off. The module is a v4 upgraded version, has only 3 wires to connect on the fuse box, very easy installation. The intensity of the high beam bulbs can be set on 4 values from 18w to 24w and the module will have a 15 seconds delay after the ignition is ON.
Prices:
More than 5 units = 35 euro/unit;
More than 10 units = 30 euro/unit;
More than 15 units = 25 euro/unit.

The HWM (headlights washer module) is a module which is able to replicate the oem head washers program. It has 6 wires to connect and it's working like this: only when the lights are ON, if keep 2 seconds the windscreen washer, the headlights washers will spray for 2 seconds, first one washer and then the other washer. Of course the time can be set on request, if is wanted another working times.
Prices:
More than 5 units = 35 euro/unit;
More than 10 units = 30 euro/unit;
More than 15 units = 25 euro/unit.

For sure will be many questions, so I'll try to add more details and explanations in order to understand corectly the features of the modules.
This modules are not industrial products, just hand made modules, so the overall appearance is like in the pictures. Anyway, the quality is very high, good quality components and a very high attention on fabrication process.

Finally, if someone has others ideas about fabrication of an customized electronic module, any ideas, i'm looking foward too.

Hello, your module for lighting and night, can be used for something else, I mean by that is use for an auto ignition headlights depending on the night, as do the vehicles which are equipped?

It's how the light sensor? whether it is big or not to hide, thank you :)

Pour le module d'éclairage de nuit, ça va pour les deux ou juste pour un seul côté ? Avant/arrière ?

Aha, ok, I think I understand what you want...you want a module which sould be able to ingnite the lights when the daytime is gone, in the evening...or you get into a tunel, underground parking, etc?
The light sensor you can see it in the first picture, is the size of an led, and the sensibility to light can be adjusted from the blue rheostat.

Il serait bien de faire des vidéo de chaque module en fonctionnement. D'ailleurs ses module seront compatible a 100% avec n'importe clio(clio 1, clio 2, clio 3...) ?
The modules are compatible with almost all models or renault and dacia models...I say that because we install on them this modules. On clio 1 the DRL is working, i don't know if FMH can work, but with electrical documentation I can give an a possible solution.
Il le précise dans FMH que c'est en rapport avec UCH et il n'y a pas besoin d'UCH pour du DRL...

Yes, for DRL and HWM, it doesn't involve the uch, only for FMH we need signals for door open and lock/unlock, to know the module when to ignite the lights...when you open a door or lock/unlock the car from remote.
Pour le module d'éclairage de nuit, ça va pour les deux ou juste pour un seul côté ? Avant/arrière ?
The FMH can connect just with front lights or with both front and rear lights, it's a choice of the owner, the module needs a signal from the lights, can take from projectors, low beam, rear lights or both front and rear.

I have films with drl and fmh, poor quality but is ok for making an ideea...I'll upload them on a transfer site...For the hwm I didn't have, I don't have this option on my clio, maybe to ask somebody which I've sent one of this module to make a movie, but I can't promise...the ideea is that the module works like the oem option, with or without lights ON, and the times for working to splash the water can be set at will (1 second, 1,5 seconds, 2 sec., etc., etc.)
The comand is from the windscreens washer stick, no additional button. Personally I like to keep my cars as original as possible!

Yes that's right, it is to make a light sensor for automatic headlights, because those sold commercially is a huge sensor ...

So it is possible with this module?

I got a message from moderateur floppy in which tells me that the prices are expensive...to make a module like that, besides the knowledge and knowhow you need to have, involves a lot of work doing the module. Also, to make the software of the microcontroler you have to invest in hardware.

Maybe I don't know the france prices or what would be the price in your opinion for an module like that. Maybe a sticker worth 7 euro, gives strengh to the car.
So, please tell me, what prices do you want to make for this modules? If the prices are below the costs...so, in that case we shake hands and go fowards.  :)

Oh yes...I realized afterwards that was something wrong with the prices... :lol: and I modified the post.

Regarding zerocool proposition, for an AL (automatic lights) module, it can be done and will be cheaper because it didn't need a microcontroler.

So...
More than 10 units = 20 euro/unit;
More than 15 units = 15 euro/unit.

Do you use stripboards or true PCBs ?

You could spare manufacturing time by using true PCBs because you won't have to make connections with solder between the components.

I don't know your boards dimensions but if it's less than 10x10cm, you should take a look here : http://imall.iteadstudio.com/open-pcb/pcb-prototyping.html. I already ordered PCBs there, they do a goob job.

So, 10 pieces of 10x10cm for 20$ (plus shipping, a few $) and you can panelize your design (they just don't v-cut it, you will have to do it yourself). But if your design is 5x5cm, you can place 4 designs per panel, so 40 PCBs for 20 bucks :bien:
